Teaching Philosophy There are many things that are important to me when teaching, with learning in an enjoyable way as one of my top priorities. People learn most effectively when they are in a positive situation, when they feel that it is enjoyable, they are likely to be more motivated. I want to create a positive and fun atmosphere in my piano lessons, where the student can escape any stress from their day to day life for a while, enjoy the music, and recharge before they need to go back to reality. In the piano lesson, I encourage the student to explore different kinds of music in an effort to help the student to find beauty and happiness in the music world. I strive to make the student have a solid foundation at the piano, providing the student with the ability to read notes, rhythms, dynamics, and pedal markings correctly. I also help my students incorporate different practice strategies, which allow them to find mistakes and fix them. Learning in an enjoyable way does not mean doing nothing or doing whatever the student wishes, but planning according to the need of the student as an individual. Creating a positive environment for the lesson so that the student has motivation to practice is very important to me. I strive to meet the student’s needs according to the individual’s personality and attitude. Providing an enjoyable environment and respecting the student as an individual are two of the most important concerns for my teaching.
